In Episode 50 of Tent Talk, we have some special announcements from The Farmers Market Pros. We know, we know, we’ve missed a few blogs and e-newsletters lately, though we’ve been offering new and best-of episodes of Tent Talk for your listening enjoyment each week. It’s been a busy summer, keeping us hopping just like you at markets and at work on InTents: The Farmers Market Conference 2020. But we’re back! This week we’re chatting about all things markets and also making some special announcements.

Weather or not, climate issues have been giving farmers’ market managers fits this year, from hard rain to straight line winds (did you catch our episode on that a few weeks ago?) and now heat advisories. How do you maintain a rain or shine market with tents tumbling down the street? What can you do to keep your farmers, vendors and team safe and well in extreme temperatures? In this episode, Brijet and Catt talk about that, National Farmers’ Market Week, waste reduction and more.

Meet The Farmers Market Pros

While we love the punny humor of InTents, we finally had to come to the conclusion that it was little too clever for its own good as an actual business name. We’ve explained it over and over, “Not intense, in tents, get it?”. We’ve spelled it so many times, “That’s InTents, I-n-Ten-T-s,” so that listeners could find us, and we’ve elicited smiles when people did get it. And just as we’ve advised hundreds of prospective farmers’ market start-up business owners, we realized that we need to make it easy for for the people who need us to find us. So, Farmers Market Pros it is, as we keep sharing tips to make your business stronger and less stressful, from us and market experts near and far.

InTents: The Farmers Market Conference February 2nd-4th, 2020

We’ve made the conference name a little more obvious too, and confirmed Sunday, February 2nd through Tuesday, February 4th for our next Farmers Market Conference in San Diego. Super Early Bird tickets are available now. So save those dates, and save almost half of the ticket price when you register here in August, or when our supply of Super Early Bird seats runs out, whichever comes first.
